Hexaglot T 427 Hexaglot's highly qualified team develops its first language translator - the legendary Hexaglot T 427. Its ability to translate into 6 languages revolutionizes the market for translators. The name Hexaglot - from the Greek "hexa" for six and "glotta" for language - has become a program.
1991
Eurotranslator plus Hexaglot launches its Eurotranslator plus. This innovative language translator has a voice function that can reproduce 2,400 idioms in 6 languages. It can also translate something like 72,000 headwords - approximately 12,000 per language.

elektronische Wörterbuch It goes without saying that the first electronic dictionary of the German language came from Hexaglot. It was called Deutsch korrekt and contained more than 600,000 words, explanations and examples of usage, a hyphenation program, a spellchecking function and lists of synonyms.

Hexaglot EG 4000 Trials conducted by independent research institutes confirm Hexaglot's undisputed technological leadership. In a report on tests of translators published in the June 1992 issue of DM magazine, the Hexaglot EG 4000 with its large multilingual vocabularies comes out the clear winner.

Square one Hexaglot makes a quantum jump into a new dimension with its Square One. This can translate whole sentences - complete with all grammatical frills, quickly and correctly. The basic vocabulary, which is already extremely extensive, can be enlarged by the addition of more dictionaries in the form of IC cards. A very sophisticated and outstanding product for its time.

Hexaglot EG 220 The Hexaglot EG 2200 translator makes business its business - with an extensive vocabulary of German and English terms from the worlds of business, computers, science and technology. The database provided by Langenscheidt contains more than 60,000 headwords per language. The sober, but attractive outfit is created by frogdesign.

Hexaglot Traveller More fun! The Hexaglot Traveller is an eye-catcher - and more. Nine attractively designed 6-language pocket translators, each one capable of translating bilaterally between each pair of languages and replacing 15 bilingual dictionaries. With their 6 languages per translator, plus commonly used idioms and pocket calculator for currency conversion, they never let the user down. The German test institute TÜV has issued a certificate confirming the comprehensiveness of their vocabularies. Go travelling!

PC Notes Taker In the same year Hexaglot also launched the PC Notes Taker: A completely new input device for the PC which allows to simultaneously capture handwritten notes into the computer. Later on Mobile NoteTaker for mobile use without any PC and Mobile Pro with mouse function are extending the range of pen input systems by Hexaglot.

Professional Translator State of the art: The Hexaglot Professional Translator is the innovative language computer for people who demand only the best. Its extremely large vocabulary - including business and restaurant menu database - is ideal for meetings, visits to restaurants, holidays, school or university. Traveller SC The Traveller SC becomes the successor of the famous Traveller series. The dictionary was significantly enlarged. Furthermore the dictionaries are now stored on a separate exchangable memory card. This allows to extend the vocabulary up to 18 languages.

Attaché Hexaglot Attaché is the new design highlight which is unique in dictionary size, functions and features. Apart from the dictionary the Attaché comes with voice response and language training function. Using regular SD memory cards the user can add dictionaries later on.
